Best Fantasy Football Waiver-Wire Pickups for Week 7

As we move ever closer to the halfway point of the NFL season, player’s roles are becoming more defined and easy to project with each passing week.  By now, unless you had the luckiest draft in the history of fantasy football, it’s more than likely that your roster could use a boost - and we’re here to give it one! Check out these four players to help you get things moving in the right direction, or keep your team from falling behind.

Joseph Fauria - Tight End, Detroit Lions

Fauria continues to impress when given the opportunity and further cemented his role as the best pass-catching tight end on the the team.  Fauria had three huge touchdowns on 34 yards receiving against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, which was good for 21.40 fantasy points. He was the second best tight end, and 13th best-overall fantasy player for Week 6.

He’s currently owned in just 0.1 percent of leagues, so if your tight end is on a bye week, or you like to stream the position, Fauria is a great find.

Brandon Jacobs - Running Back, New York Giants

Jacobs is one lucky running back, having been given a second chance in the NFL due to the Giants continued running back woes.  With no one left on the roster to make an impact, Jacobs stepped in and has performed well, even with the team failing to get a win thus far.  He was the ninth-best fantasy player in Week 6, and the fourth-best running back with 23.40 points on 106 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Jacobs is owned in just two percent of leagues and has a string of upcoming games against suspect run defenses.  If you’re in need of running back help, he could be a nice short-term addition until Andre Brown returns.

Zac Stacy - Running Back, St. Louis Rams

Stacy has emerged from the bottom of an underperforming four-back committee, as the lone No. 1 guy moving forward.  After splitting carries in Week 5, Stacy was given the bulk of the carries in Week 6.  He responded by breaking off 79 rushing yards and 11 receiving yards for nine points - which was 21st best among running backs.

St. Louis’ offense is too inconsistent to count on Stacy as your primary back, but with the current state of fantasy ‘backs, he’s a solid RB2 moving forward.  He’s also only owned in seven percent of leagues, so he should be easy to get.

Andre Ellington - Running Back, Arizona Cardinals

Ellington is another guy that has slowly emerged as the team’s primary running back.  Ellington is now getting more carries and total snaps than Rashard Mendenhall which will continue for the foreseeable future.  On Sunday, Ellington racked up 15.20 fantasy points on 56 rushing yards, 36 receiving yards and one touchdown - which was the ninth-best running back performance.  He’s currently only owned in 8.8 percent of leagues, so if you need high-end RB2 to low-end RB1 production, grab him now before you lose out.
