Russell Wilson, Quarterback, Seattle Seahawks
Stats: 313 passing yards, 106 rushing yards, three total touchdowns
On Sunday, Wilson became the first quarterback in NFL history to pass for 300 yards and run for another 100 yards in the same game. And while the rest of the Seahawks team let him down, Wilson's performance was absolutely stunning. In total, he put up 419 yards and three touchdowns. He's now tallied 12 touchdowns compared to two interceptions and is the fifth-ranked fantasy quarterback heading into Week 8. Wilson has now become an absolute DFS stud and top-tier QB1 option in standard leagues.
Peyton Manning, Quarterback, Denver Broncos
Stats: 318 passing yards and four touchdowns
Is anyone surprised that Manning destroyed a short-handed San Francisco 49ers defense? Now NFL all-time leader in touchdown passes, Manning added another four touchdowns in three quarters of action in the impressive 42-17 Broncos victory. Through six games, Manning has now tallied 19 touchdowns and just three interceptions. That puts him on pace for another 51 scores this season.
Matt Forte, Running Back, Chicago Bears
Stats: 48 rushing yards, 60 receiving yards and two touchdowns
Lost in the all the drama following Chicago's Week 7 loss to the Miami Dolphins was the fact that Forte continues to put up some ridiculous numbers. He currently leads the NFL in receptions, which makes him an absolute fantasy stud. Forte added 108 yards and two scores on Sunday, which brings his four-game yardage output to over 600 yards. Despite DeMarco Murray's overall success, Forte is the league's No. 1 ranked fantasy running back right now.
Ronnie Hillman, Running Back, Denver Broncos
Stats: 74 rushing yards, 29 receiving yards and two touchdowns
Hillman has done such a good job replacing an injured Montee Ball in the lineup that there is a decent chance that he won't give up the starting running back job when Ball returns. The former San Diego State star added 113 yards and two scores in Denver's blowout win over the 49ers on Sunday night. This brings Hillman's two-game total to 219 yards. As is the case with any running back in the same backfield as Peyton Manning, Hillman is a must start fantasy option until he sees a downtick in touches.
Demaryius Thomas, Wide Receiver, Denver Broncos
Stats: eight receptions, 171 yards and two touchdowns
Want a crazy stat? Including Sunday's ridiculous performance against San Francisco, Thomas has tallied 26 receptions for 521 yards and five touchdowns over the course of his last three games. There isn't a whole lot we can add to this outside of the fact that Thomas has also caught 70 percent of the passes thrown in his direction during that span. No matter how well Dez Bryant is performing right now, Thomas has to be considered the top fantasy wide receiver at this point.
Sammy Watkins, Wide Receiver, Buffalo Bills
Stats: nine receptions, 122 yards and two touchdowns
Including Watkins' breakout performance on Sunday, he's now on pace to tally 93 receptions for 1,155 yards and 11 touchdowns. Those marks would make him one of the best rookie receivers in the history of the league. That's crazy considering who the Bills have under center. Watkins was targeted 14 times and scored two touchdowns in Buffalo's impressive late-game comeback over the Minnesota Vikings.
Gavin Escobar, Tight End, Dallas Cowboys
Stats: three receptions, 65 yards and two touchdowns
Unfortunately for Jason Witten fantasy owners, Escobar has stolen three touchdowns from the future Hall of Famer over the past two games. Fortunately for those who own Escobar in dyno leagues, he's making a fantasy impact sooner than most people thought. Escobar's two-touchdown performance on Sunday made him the top fantasy tight end for the day. With that said, there really is no reason to play him on a consistent basis unless matchups dictate otherwise or DFS fantasy value is too good.
Greg Olsen, Tight End, Carolina Panthers
Stats: eight receptions and 105 yards
Olsen was Cam Newton's only real receiving target on Sunday, catching eight passes on as many targets. There isn't a whole lot more to add to this simply because we already know that the Pro Bowl tight end is among the most consistent fantasy performers at his position. He's also been targeted 28 time over the past three games, which is an indication that this production won't decrease in coming weeks.
