Biggest Fantasy Football Related Injuries of Week 3

Russell Wilson, Quarterback, Seattle Seahawks

Wilson went down with a leg injury in the third quarter of Seattle's win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. He did return a play later, but eventually had to sit for the remainder of the game.

Unlike the ankle injury Wilson suffered in his right leg back in Week 1, this injury happened to the left side and apparently included his MCL (knee). Reports Sunday evening indicated that Wilson did indeed suffer a sprained MCL.

The quarterback is confident in his ability to play against the New York Jets next week, but no decision will be made there until he undergoes an MRI on Monday. Depending on the severity of the sprain, Wilson could miss a week or two.

Jeremy Langford, Running Back, Chicago Bears

Langford left Sunday night's game against the Dallas Cowboys with an ankle injury after attemptin just five runs. He was carted off the field and immediately ruled out for the remainder of the game. This is surely a sin that we're looking at a long-term injury here.

Prior to exiting, the second-year back had put up 46 yards on five attempts. He was replaced as the primary ball carrier by rookie Jordan Howard, who proceeded to put up 92 yards on 13 touches. Now is the time to buy Howard on the waiver wire. He was taking touches from Langford prior to the injury, and will now likely have an opportunity to be the workhorse in Chicago moving forward.

DeSean Jackson, Wide Receiver, Washington Redskins

This surely looks like it could potentially be a nagging problem for the oft-injured receiver. Jackson rolled his ankle in the second quarter of Sunday's game against the New York Giants. It's the same injury that kept him out of the preseason. And while Jackson was able to return in the second half, there has to be some concern here. Interestingly enough, Jackson still ended up tallying a 5-96-1 split in the win over New York.

Dez Bryant, Wide Receiver, Dallas Cowboys

Bryant went down to a knee injury early Sunday night, but only had to take a few plays off. He ended up coming back in the game and catching a 17-yard touchdown pass from Dak Prescott. Trainers did end up wrapping his knee, but there doesn't seem to be anything serious here. It will, however, be interesting to see the early-week Cowboys injury report. Thins like this can flare up the further a player is separated from the injury.
