Biggest Injury Impacts in Week Four

With Week 4 upon on us now, injuries are becoming crucial already in fantasy football. Let's take a look at the notable ones for the upcoming slate of games.

Cam Newton, Quarterback, Carolina Panthers (ankle) - Newton appeared to tweak his ankle in week three while being sacked eight times against the Vikings. He is in no danger of missing week four.

Russell Wilson, Quarterback, Seattle Seahawks (knee) - After dealing with an ankle sprain, Wilson is also dealing with a sprained MCL. He was a full participant in practice this week and is not on the team's injury report. He will play with a brace on a knee but could be limited against the Jets.

Jimmy Garoppolo, Quarterback, New England Patriots (shoulder) - Garoppolo missed week three with a sprained AC joint in his throwing shoulder. He is listed as questionable this weekend and will likely be a game-time decision. Reports indicated he was doing better in practice, so he has a decent chance of playing against the Bills on Sunday.

Jamaal Charles, Running Back, Kansas City Chiefs (knee) - After missing the first three weeks of the season as he recovers from ACL surgery, Charles is reportedly going to be active on Sunday (per ESPN's Adam Schefter). It's unknown what type of role he will have, but expect it to be a limited one as he works his way back now that he is on the field again.

Doug Martin, Running Back, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (hamstring) - After missing week three, Martin has been ruled out for week four with his hamstring injury. He is week-to-week right now but it doesn't look good for him suiting up in week five at this point either. He has yet to return to practice, keep him on your bench.

Rashad Jennings, Running Back, New York Giants (hand) - After being inactive in week three with a thumb issue, Jennings is a true game-time decision for week four per coach Ben McAdoo. He was limited in practice on Friday. Jennings is not a good shot to play on Monday night and should be kept out of all line-ups for this week.

Jonathan Stewart, Running Back, Carolina Panthers (hamstring) - Stewart is out again for week four as he continues to deal with a hamstring issue. Head coach Ron Rivera said on Thursday that he could miss up to four weeks. Stewart is week-to-week but may not play again until after their week seven bye.

Jeremy Langford, Running Back, Chicago Bears (ankle) - Langford was carted off in week three with what reports indicate to be a high-ankle sprain. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Langford could miss up to "four-to-six weeks". He is listed as doubtful for week four but will not play. He is week-to-week.

Alshon Jeffery, Wide Receiver, Chicago Bears (hamstring, knee) - Despite dealing with multiple injuries, Jeffery has not missed a game this season. He was limited in practice all week and is questionable for this weekend. Jeffery will be a "game-time decision" but is likely to play in week four.

Marvin Jones, Wide Receiver, Detroit Lions (hamstring) - After gaining over 200 yards in week three, Jones was added to injury report on Thursday with a hamstring injury. But after practicing on both Thursday (limited) and Friday (full), Jones seems to be ready for week four. He is in little danger of missing this weekend's game.

Stefon Diggs, Wide Receiver, Minnesota Vikings (groin) - Diggs has been limited all week with a groin issue but did practice on Friday, which he didn't do in week three despite playing. Diggs is in no danger of missing his week four bout against the Giants on Monday night football.

Willie Snead, Wide Receiver, New Orleans Saints (toe) - After missing week three with a toe issue, Snead was limited in practice all week. He seems more likely to play this week than last but will likely be a game-time decision on Sunday. Keep a back-up plan just in case.

Sammy Watkins, Wide Receiver, Buffalo Bills (foot) - Watkins was placed on injured reserve Friday with his foot injury, meaning he will miss at least eight weeks before being eligible to return if that does happen. He is safe to drop in re-draft leagues for the time-being.

Phillip Dorsett, Wide Receiver, Indianapolis Colts (ankle) - Dorsett was added to the team's injury report on Friday with an ankle injury. That is not a good sign considering he is playing on Sunday morning. He may be a game-time decision, so be sure to check the inactives report on Sunday morning.

T.Y. Hilton, Wide Receiver, Indianapolis Colts (knee) - Despite being listed with a knee injury for the past few weeks, Hilton practiced fully on Thursday and Friday and is not on the Colts injury report for week four. He will play with no issues.

Eric Decker, Wide Receiver, New York Jets (shoulder) - After reports of a shoulder injury earlier in the week, it was confirmed that Decker is dealing with a tear in his rotator cuff. He is week-to-week for the time being as the team doesn't know whether he will need surgery or not. Decker is out for week four, if not the rest of the season.

Tavon Austin, Wide Receiver, Los Angeles Rams (shoulder) - Austin was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday before returning to a full practice on Friday. He will definitely suit up on Sunday.

Dez Bryant, Wide Receiver, Dallas Cowboys (knee) - Despite being listed as questionable for Sunday, Bryant will not play due to a hairline fracture in his knee. While he may be "week-to-week", Bryant is expected to miss a few games. Keep him on your benches for now.

Julio Jones, Wide Receiver, Atlanta Falcons (calf) - After being limited on both Wednesday and Thursday, Jones was a full participant on Friday and is no longer listed on the team's injury report. He will play and look for a bounce-back performance after week three's putrid outcome.

Rob Gronkowski, Tight End, New England Patriots (hamstring) - Despite returning last week for the first time all season, Gronkowski only saw one target in the blowout victory against the Texans. He is questionable for this weekend after being limited in practice all week again, but all signs point to him playing. Look for Gronk to have an expanded role on Sunday as he continues to heal.

Delanie Walker, Tight End, Tennessee Titans (hamstring) - Walker missed last week with a hamstring injury and will be a game-time decision this weekend as well. Coach Mike Mularkey said he will be tested before the game. Walker did practice on a limited basis on both Thursday and Friday, but is a true 50-50 right now. Have a back-up plan just in case.

Eric Ebron, Tight End, Detroit Lions (ankle) - Ebron has been dealing with a pesky ankle injury for awhile now, but will play on Sunday. He was limited in practice on Thursday but had a full practice on Friday. He is in no danger of missing week four.

Jimmy Graham, Tight End, Seattle Seahawks (knee, back) - Graham had six receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown in week three, impressive for a guy who is coming back from a patellar tendon tear in his knee. He was limited on Wednesday, sat out on Thursday and practiced fully on Friday. Graham seems to be all systems go for Sunday with his Friday practice.

Antonio Gates, Tight End, San Diego Chargers (hamstring) - Gates did not practice at all this week and is listed as doubtful for week four. He will sit out this week as Hunter Henry will fill in for him. Gates is week-to-week at this point.

Julius Thomas, Tight End, Jacksonville Jaguars (elbow) - This is a new injury for Thomas. He played fine in week three but did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday this week. He returned to a limited practice on Friday with a brace on. He will be a game-time decision but luckily plays in London, so his status will be known before other tight ends facing injury question marks. Have a back-up plan just in case.
