Chip Kelly Won't Commit to DeMarco Murray Playing Sunday

Just when we thought the Philadelphia Eagles new relationship with DeMarco Murray couldn't get any worse, the strugging running back exited Wednesday's practice with a hamstring injury. While we await on the results of a MRI that was conducted Thursday, Eagles head coach Chip Kelly had an ominous statement regarding Murray's status for Sunday's game against the New York Jets.

If Murray can't go, fellow free-agent signing Ryan Mathews will get the start with Darren Sproles acting as the primary backup and likely third-down specialist.

Through two games, Murray has put up 11 rushing yards on 21 attempts. With a tweaked hamstring and going up against a stout Jets run defense, the veteran won't be a solid fantasy play even if he's able to suit up. The same goes for Mathews should he replace Murray in the lineup. Though, Sproles remains a decent value play in PPR contests/leagues.
