The four words that fantasy football owners dread: "Running back by committee."
Unfortunately, it seems that's the approach the Dallas Cowboys will take into the 2015 season in an attempt to replace free-agent departure DeMarco Murray.
It's a negative sign for those of you who selected Joseph Randle anywhere near his current ADP of 51 (fifth round). According to the previously-linked report, Randle has yet to separate himself from the rest of the running backs on the Cowboys roster, meaning that both Darren McFadden and Lance Dunbar figure into the equation here.
While Dallas still plans to create balance on offense in order to take the onus off Tony Romo, having three guys vie for carries isn't a good sign for fantasy production from any of them. And despite the Cowboys elite-level run-blocking ability, the hot-hand approach might be used more frequently in Dallas this year.
The takeaway here is that Randle is likely nothing more than a FLEX option. With an ADP ahead of the likes of Todd Gurley, T.J. Yeldon, Ameer Abdullah and even Arian Foster, there's just not much value in going Randle there.
