Daily Fantasy Football Value Plays: Week 2

Here at eDraft, our goal is to provide you readers with all possible information to be successful throughout the fantasy football season. For the first time in the history of the site, we are going to focus on daily fantasy football leagues, which really can be a cash cow for those with knowledge of what's going on around the league.

That's where we come into play.

We will be providing weekly boom or bust options. In addition to this, eDraft will provide you with a potential winning lineup and give a general overview of what to expect for the upcoming week.

Check out this link for more information on how Fanduel's (our partner) daily leagues work. You'll also receive a 100 percent initial sign up bonus with Fanduel by clicking on the link at the bottom of this article.

This weekly article will focus on the top value plays in Fanduel daily leagues. Here is our Week 2 version.

Quarterbacks
Player Team Salary
1. Jake Locker Titans $7,400
2. Carson Palmer Cardinals $6,900
3. Brian Hoyer Browns $5,800
4. Derek Carr Raiders $5,500
5. Jay Cutler Bears $8,100
6. Tony Romo Cowboys $7,800
7. Colin Kaepernick 49ers $8,400
8. Andy Dalton Bengals $7,800
9. Matt Cassel Vikings $6,400
10. Russell Wilson Seahawks $8,200

* Locker is the 16th-most expensive quarterback in Fanduel leagues this week. He ranked 10th among fantasy quarterbacks in points in Week 1 and is going up against a Dallas Cowboys defense that yielded the second-most fantasy points to quarterbacks in 2013.

* Palmer is a really solid daily buy this week. He's lining up against a New York Giants team that allowed Matthew Stafford the second-most fantasy points in Week 1 and has a ton of issues going up against elite-caliber wide receivers. Enter into the equation Calvin Johnson

* Kaepernick is also a solid fantasy play. He might not be tasked with throwing the ball a whole heck of a lot, but the 49ers seem to be much more dynamic on offense in 2014. Going up against a horrendous Chicago Bears defense could net him a few huge plays throughout the game.

Running Backs
Player Team Salary
1. Knowshon Moreno Dolphins $7,000
2. Carlos Hyde 49ers $6,000
3. Terrance West Browns $5,300
4. Chris Johnson Jets $7,000
5. Darren Sproles Eagles $6,000
6. Frank Gore 49ers $7,400
7. Shane Vereen Patriots $6,800
8. Toby Gerhart  Jaguars $5,800
9. Ahmad Bradshaw Colts $5,200
10. Arian Foster Texans $8,300

* Moreno rushed for over 130 yards last week against the New England Patriots, finishing as the eighth-ranked fantasy running back. He now takes on a Buffalo Bills team that allowed Matt Forte the third-most fantasy points to running backs last week. The former Denver Broncos comes in as Fanduel's 17th-most expensive running back.

* After just one game in the NFL, Hyde is already an impact fantasy performer. He was right up there with RB1 options, such as Adrian Peterson and Andre Ellington last week. The rookie from Ohio State tallied 50 yards and a score on seven attempts. He'll now line up against a Chicago Bears defense that yielded the second-most fantasy points to running backs last season and gave up 174 rushing yards to the Buffalo Bills last week.

Wide Receivers
Player Team Salary
1. Brian Quick Rams $5,200
2. Michael Floyd Cardinals $6,600
3. Cordarrelle Patterson Vikings $7,100
4. Anquan Boldin 49ers $6,400
5. Kenbrell Thompkins Patriots $4,500
6. Brandin Cooks Saints $6,300
7. Kelvin Benjamin Panthers $6,600
8. Andrew Hawkins Browns $5,200
9. Golden Tate Lions $5,000
10. Alshon Jeffery Bears $7,600

* We have been waiting forever to see Quick making a fantasy impact. And that time appears to be right now. He was targeted over 20 percent of the time last week and put up WR2 numbers. Going up against a Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense that struggled covering another big-bodied wide receiver in Kelvin Benjamin, Quick will likely top that performance. He's a mid-tier WR2 option at a discounted price.

* Floyd is a must play this week. No reason to believe that he can't build off a strong Week 1 performance and put up top-end WR1 numbers against a pretty bad Giants defense. Take him at a WR2 price tag and expect top-10 production.

Tight Ends
Player Team Salary
1. Delanie Walker Titans $5,000
2. Zach Ertz Eagles $5,600
3. Martellus Bennett Bears $6,100
4. Mychal Rivera Raiders $4,500
5. Levine Toilolo Falcons $4,500

* Walker was one of my daily sleepers last week. And it worked out pretty well. He finished as a TE1 option from the 23rd-most expensive tight end slot. Now going up against the Dallas Cowboys, we can expect the underrated pass catcher to perform at an even higher level.
