Seeing his first meaningful action since September of 2014 (two years), Baltimore Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta will start Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.
Pitta, once one of the best young receiving tight ends in the game, has played a grand total of seven games since the end of the 2012 season.
Back in 2012, he did put up 61 receptions for 669 yards and six scores. That was good enough for him to finish as the seventh-best fantasy tight end.
Moving forward on the season, we're definitely going to want to see how Pitta is feeling after returning from myriad of injuries he's suffered over the past three years.
If the 31-year-old tight end does regain that connection we saw with Joe Flacco prior to all these injuries, he's definitely a viable re-draft and DFS threat.
Baltimore signed Ben Watson as a free agent this past spring. Unfortunately, he tore his Achilles in the team's first preseason game. With Maxx Williams still hobbled, there's nothing stopping Pitta from becoming one of Flacco's most valuable receiving options this season. If healthy, he'll always provide top-10 upside from the tight end position.
