Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson was hopeful of returning this week against the New York Jets after missing the past four games with a hamstring injury. Unfortunately for Jackson and the Redskins, he suffered a setback in the team's practice on Thursday and had to be pulled from the action.
Considering we are late in the practice week, this isn't good news for Jackson's outlook Sunday against the Jets. He remains hopeful that he will be able to suit up, but a hamstring injury is a tricky thing. And considering it's the same type of setback he suffered earlier in the year, the expecation has to be that Jackson won't be able to go.
If Jackson is sidelined again, Pierre Garcon will continue to receive the bulk of the targets from Kirk Cousins in the passing game.
