Devonta Freeman Now Ahead of Tevin Coleman on Falcons Depth Chart

After putting up a 193-yard, three-touchdown performance against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman has apparently jumped rookie Tevin Coleman on the team's depth chart.

Coleman, a rookie from Indiana, had been considered a starter prior to missing last week with a rib injury.

From the Falcons' official site

"Rookie running back Tevin Coleman was listed as the Falcons’ No.1 option to start the season. Prior to getting hurt, Coleman had 29 carries for 112 yards with one touchdown in two games. Coleman’s status is still in question as Atlanta begins preparations for their Week 4 matchup against the Houston Texans."

Once Coleman is cleared to return, this will still likely remain a running back by committee situation in Atlanta, though Freeman definitely becomes a solid play in DFS contests. After that, we are going to want to see how the situation plays out for a week or two before drawing a conclusion.

Atlanta takes on a Houston Texans team that ranks in the top seven in the NFL against fantasy running backs this season. Freeman will be in for a difficult matchup there.
