Doctors Fear Arian Foster Has Torn Achilles

A horrible performance by the Houston Texans in a 44-26 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday may be the least of the team's worries.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Texans have confirmed that running back Arian Foster suffered an Achilles injury in the game. Doctors believe he tore the Achilles.

It's another bad break for a running back in Foster that has proven to be among the league's best running backs when healthy. Unfortunately, Foster has dealt with injury after injury in his career. Foster suffered a serious groin injury in the preseason, missing the first three games of the season.

Prior to this year, Foster missed 11 games over the course of the past two years.

If it is indeed a torn Achilles, Foster will be lost for the season.

At 29 years old and with an extensive injury history, it remains to be seen if this is it for Foster as a top-end running back in the NFL.

We will have updates when they become available.
