The New Orleans Saints now find themselves at 4-4 on the season following an amazing 52-49 win over the New York Giants on Sunday.
While we are far from calling the Saints a serious playoff contender, it's readily apparent that future Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees is back to his old self.
The 36-year-old signal caller tied the NFL record with seven touchdown passes against the New York Giants on Sunday. He joined Nick Foles and Peyton Manning as quarterbacks that have hit that mark in the past two-plus years.
Overall, Brees completed 40-of-50 passes for 511 yards with those seven touchdowns and one interception. Interestingly, his passing yards total was just 43 shy of Norm Van Brocklin's NFL record.
In what looked like an Arena Football League game more than anything else, Giants quarterback Eli Manning put up six touchdowns passes.
Combined, the Saints and Giants put up 64 first downs and over 1,000 total yards.
As it relates to fantasy football, Brees' 46.54 points is the most in the NFL since the start of last year.
