An 0-2 start to the season is definitely not what the Indianapolis Colts were hoping for when the season start Now as they make the final preparations for a crucial game against the Tennessee Titans, Andrew Luck will be without tight end Dwayne Allen.
Allen missed Wednesday and Thursday's practice with an ankle injury, then immediately ruled out on Friday morning for Sunday's game by head coach Chuck Pagano. Allen suffered the injury during Monday's game, giving him a limited week to get treatment and be active for the following game.
With Allen out, Coby Fleener will see most of the snaps at tight end. Fleener's involvement in the passing game has been limited to just one catch for five yards on, but should pick up extra targets with Allen out.
While a matchup against the Tennessee Titans seems cozy for playing him in daily fantasy football, he will still be Luck's fourth option in the passing game. If it's a close game or Indianapolis gets out to a lead, we should see the Colts run the ball more and that just means fewer targets for Fleener.
