Carson Palmer, Quarterback, Arizona Cardinals (Concussion)
Palmer suffered a concussion in Sunday's loss to the Los Angeles Rams and will likely sit Thursday against the San Francisco 49ers. He'd have a much better chance to go if it were a normal week, but just three days in between games will surely impact this. Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians did not sound optimistic regarding Palmer's status Sunday. If he's unable to go, Drew Stanton will draw the start.
Cam Newton, Quarterback, Carolina Panters (Concussion)
Newton also suffered a concussion in the Panthers' blowout loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. Head coach Ron Rivera indicated Monday that he's not sure what Newton's status is. And the quarterback will surely need to pass through a concussion protocol in order to take the field next week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The good news here is that he will have an extra day with that game slated for Monday night. If Newton can't go, Derek Anderson will get the start.
Trevor Siemian, Quarterback, Denver Broncos (Shoulder)
Siemian is one of three starting quarterbacks to go down to injury and not return on Sunday. He suffered a sprained AC joint in his non-throwing shoulder in Denver's win over Tampa Bay. It's the same injury Jimmy Garoppolo suffered and has missed two weeks because of. Though, this wasn't to Siemian's throwing shoulder. As it is, we can expect him to be questionable, at best, against the Atlanta Falcons next week. If Siemian is unable to go, rookie Paxton Lynch will get the start.
Kevin White, Wide Receiver, Chicago Bears (Ankle)
White missed his entire rookie season to injury and was tasked with taking on a larger role as a sophomore. He was definitely making strides with Brian Hoyer under center over the past two games, recording 12 receptions for 117 yards. Unfortunately, White went down to an ankle injury against the Detroit Lions on Sunday and was seen extremely hobbled. This surely looks like a multi-week injury.
If White is indeed out for an extended period of time, Eddie Royal will need to be looked at on the waiver wire. He caught all seven passes thrown in his direction for 111 yards against the Lions.
Devin Funchess, Wide Receiver, Carolina Panthers (Toe)
Funchess went down late in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to the Falcons with a toe injury and did not return. At this point, he has to be considered questionable for Monday's game against Tampa Bay. Even if Funchess were able to go, no one outside of Greg Olsen holds fantasy relevance on the Panthers' offense if Cam Newton is sidelined here.
