Cody Kessler, Quarterback, Cleveland Browns
Kessler suffered the second concussion of his rookie season in Sunday's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. It remains to be seen how long he might be out for, but the Browns might want to shut him down for the season. As it is, Kessler is likely out for next week's game against the New York Giants. That means Josh McCown will again be under center. Also important to note, Robert Griffin III (shoulder) will likely be returning to practice this week.
LeSean McCoy, Running Back, Buffalo Bills
McCoy suffered a dislocated thumb Sunday and did not return. He's expected to undergo on Monday, but the Bills believe McCoy will be able to go next week. Even if that might be the case, this is definitely something worth monitoring during the week. Mike Gillislee replaced McCoy in the lineup against Cincinnati and ended up going for 72 yards on 14 rush attempts.
C.J. Prosise, Running Back, Seattle Seahawks
Shortly after putting up a 72-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, this rookie from Notre Dame left the game with a shoulder injury. It's now being reported that Prosise will miss up to eight months with the injury. Interestingly enough, this happened in the same game that Thomas Rawls returned from injury. Rawls responded by putting up 88 yards on 17 touches. Rawls now becomes a legit RB1 option with Prosise out.
Giovani Bernard, Running Back, Cincinnati Bengals
Bernard reportedly suffered a torn ACL in Sunday's loss to the Buffalo Bills. As one part of a thunder-and-lightning backfield in Cincinnati, Bernard's absence will likely mean primary ball-carrier duties for Jeremy Hill. Bernard entered Sunday's action having put up 612 total yards in nine games and averaging 13 touches per games.
Ryan Mathews, Running Back, Philadelphia Eagles
Mathews suffered what many believe to be a sprained MCL Sunday against Seattle. He did not return to the game and was seen wearing a knee brace after the Eagles' loss. The starter is expected to undergo an MRI on Monday, but he's definitely in doubt for next week's game.
Darren Sproles, Running Back, Philadelphia Eagles
Sproles exited Sunday game with Seattle after suffering a rib injury and did not return to action. It's not yet known if he'll miss next week's game, but rookie Wendell Smallwood was tasked with replacing both Sproles and Mathews in the lineup. The first-year player responded by tallying 79 total yards on 17 touches.
A.J. Green, Wide Receiver, Cincinnati Bengals
In the midst of a tremendous season, Green left early Sunday with a hamstring injury. Unfortunately, he was carted off the field, which made it seem like a serious injury. Now, after the game has concluded, various reports are coming out of Cincinnati that Green suffered a serious hamstring tear. If so, he'll miss the remainder of the season. With Green out of action, the expectation here has to be that rookie Tyler Boyd will puck up a ton of targets moving forward on the season.
Robert Woods, Wide Receiver, Buffalo Bills
Woods suffered what looked to be a serious knee injury Sunday against Cincinnati. He was down several minutes on the field before being helped off to the locker room. The receiver was then seen leaving the stadium in crutches. We'll have updates as they become available.
Zach Miller, Tight End, Chicago Bears
Miller broke his foot Sunday against the New York Giants and will miss the remainder of the game. It's an unfortunate situation for a player that had acted the part of a TE1 for the first 10 weeks of the season.
