Fantasy Football: Biggest Injury Impacts in Week 15

Week 15 is here and that means most, if not all fantasy football leagues are in playoff mode. That means injuries are more important than ever to find out if your star player(s) are active or inactive. Here at eDraft, we have the up-to-date injury info for you.

John Brown, Wide Receiver, Arizona Cardinals (illness) - Brown has been limited for most of the season with his sickle-cell trait and while he is listed as "questionable" for this weekend, he is likely to suit up again in a limited/snap count role.

Jermaine Gresham, Tight End, Arizona Cardinals (knee) - Gresham has been a sneaky fantasy football contributor as of late and popped up on the injury report with a knee injury that caused him to miss Wednesday's practice. He did get in limited sessions on Thursday and Friday, making his chances look good for suiting up this weekend.

Julio Jones, Wide Receiver, Atlanta Falcons (toe) - Jones was forced to miss week 14's game with a toe injury and he will once again sit out this weekend. He did not practice all week and has been ruled out for week 15. He is at best week-to-week right now as Atlanta is likely being cautious with them likely in the playoffs.

Sammy Watkins, Wide Receiver, Buffalo Bills (foot) - Watkins has been on the injury report for most of the time since returning from injured reserve. Even with that, he continues to get in practices on Thursday and Friday every week. He will be all good to play.

Charles Clay, Tight End, Buffalo Bills (knee) - Clay has been limited all season with a knee issue and is once again "questionable" for this weekend. Despite that, he will once again suit up and play with little to no issues.

Kelvin Benjamin, Wide Receiver, Carolina Panthers (back) - Benjamin has been limited early this week with a back injury. He has not missed game time because of an injury and this looks to be minor. Assuming he practices again on Saturday, he'll be fine for Monday.

Cam Newton, Quarterback, Carolina Panthers (shoulder) - While Newton has had a disappointing 2016 when compared to his 2015 MVP season, one good thing about this season has been his health. He is listed with a shoulder injury and has been limited this week but assuming he practices on Saturday (he will), he'll be all systems go for Monday night.

Eddie Royal, Wide Receiver, Chicago Bears (toe) - Royal has been dealing with a pesky toe issue all season, leaving his weekly status up in the air throughout. This weekend, he will unfortunately not suit up as the Bears take on the Packers.

A.J. Green, Wide Receiver, Cincinnati Bengals (hamstring) - Green has been out ever since suffering a severe hamstring injury. He has started to ramp up his activity in hopes of a late-season return but is listed as "doubtful" for this weekend, meaning he will not play barring a miracle.

Eric Ebron, Tight End, Detroit Lions (knee) - Ebron has dealt with multiple lower-body injuries throughout the season but hs recently played through them. He was limited in practice all week and should be fine for this weekend as well.

Zach Zenner, Running Back, Detroit Lions (concussion) - Zenner suffered a concussion during week 14 and has been limited in practice all week. He would need to clear the final stage(s) of the protocol in order to play. He will be a true game-time decision.

Theo Riddick, Running Back, Detroit Lions (wrist) - Riddick surprisingly missed last week's game due to a wrist injury and appears slated to miss another one. He did not practice all week and is "doubtful" for this weekend. Don't count on him suiting up.

James Starks, Running Back, Green Bay Packers (concussion) - Starks suffered a concussion in week 14 and has not practiced at all this week. He is listed as "doubtful" and is all but out for week 15. He will remain week-to-week.

Aaron Rodgers, Quarterback, Green Bay Packers (calf) - Despite Rodgers not practicing all week due to his calf issue, he is listed as "questionable" for this weekend and should be in no danger of missing week 15. The team is simply keeping Rodgers out of harm's way except for game time.

Christine Michael, Running Back, Green Bay Packers (illness) - Michael sat out of practice Thursday before returning in a limited fashion on Friday due to an illness. He is listed as "questionable" but appears on track to play. He ultimately should be fine for week 15.

Randall Cobb, Wide Receiver, Green Bay Packers (ankle) - Cobb has dealt with a few injuries this season. He was able to practice all week in limited fashion with his ankle issue and should be able to play despite his "questionable" tag for week 15.

C.J. Fiedorowicz, Tight End, Houston Texans (concussion) - The break-out tight end suffered a concussion in week 14 and was unable to recover enough in time for week 15. He has been ruled out for this weekend and will be week-to-week for the time being.

Dwayne Allen, Tight End, Indianapolis Colts (hip) - Allen sat out of practice on Wednesday before practicing on Thursday and Friday, including a full session on Friday. He is listed as "questionable" for this weekend but he will be able to play in week 15.

Phillip Dorsett, Wide Receiver, Indianapolis Colts (groin) - Dorsett popped up on the injury report on Thursday with a groin issue but did practice in full on Friday. He is listed as "questionable" for week 15 but should suit up.

Donte Moncrief, Wide Receiver, Indianapolis Colts (hamstring) - Moncrief aggrevated a previous hamstring injury during week 14 and was unable to practice this week. He was ruled out for this weekend and will be week-to-week at best for the time-being.

Allen Hurns, Wide Receiver, Jacksonville Jaguars (hamstring) - Hurns continues to deal with a troublesome hamstring injury that will cost him another game this week as he has been ruled out for week 15. He will continue to be week-to-week at best for the time being.

Matt Asiata, Running Back, Minnesota Vikings (ankle) - Asiata had been a full participant on Wednesday and Thursday with his ankle issue before missing Friday's practice. The team's official website says that Asiata is also dealing with an illness. He is still expected to suit this weekend still.

Adrian Peterson, Running Back, Minnesota Vikings (knee) - The big shocker of the week, Peterson went on radio today and had proclaimed he will be active for week 15. He has yet to be officially added to the team's roster from injured reserve. If he does before 4PM on Saturday, he should play. However, he likely will be eased back in as the team fights for a playoff spot.

Martellus Bennett, Tight End, New England Patriots (ankle/shoulder) - Bennett has been dealing with both of these injuries for multiple weeks now and has been limited in practice for most of the season. He is listed as "questionable" but there is no doubt he will play in week 15.

Shane Vereen, Running Back, New York Giants (concussion) - Vereen suffered a concussion in week 14 and has been limited in practice all week. His status for week 15 against Detroit is up in the air and he is looking like a game-time decision right now. Be sure to check back in on Sunday for final word.

Quincy Enunwa, Wide Receiver, New York Jets (ribs) - Enunwa practiced all week in limited fashion with his ribs injury. That puts him on track to be active for week 15 with quarterback Bryce Petty behind center again.

Matt Forte, Running Back, New York Jets (knee) - Forte missed practice on Wednesday before getting in two limited sessions on Thursday and Friday. He had said he heard "cracking and popping" in his knee after being forced to leave in week 14. He is shaping up to be a true game-time decision for Saturday's game.

Brandon Marshall, Wide Receiver, New York Jets (knee/foot/back) - Marshall seems to keep adding injuries to his list for this season as he is listed with three now. He was limited in practice all week and should have no problems playing on Saturday night, even if his fantasy value is shot.

Michael Crabtree, Wide Receiver, Oakland Raiders (finger) - Crabtree was limited in practice all week with a finger injury. He is officially listed as "questionable" for week 15 but should have no issues suiting up and playing.

Amari Cooper, Wide Receiver, Oakland Raiders (shoulder) - Like Crabtree, Cooper was limited in practice all week and listed as "questionable". He too, should be active and have no problem playing his full work load.

Dorial Green-Beckham, Wide Receiver, Philadelphia Eagles (abdomen) - After missing week 14 due to an oblique "contusion", DGB appears set to return. He was a full participant in practice all week and while he is "questionable" for week 15, he is fully expected to play this weekend.

Jordan Matthews, Wide Receiver, Philadelphia Eagles (ankle) - Matthews got in two full sessions of practice on Thursday and Friday after sitting out on Wednesday. He has fought with this ankle injury for weeks but will have no issues playing this weekend.

Darren Sproles, Running Back, Philadelphia Eagles (concussion) - Sproles took a big hit during week 14's game and was diagnosed with a concussion. He did not practice all week and was ruled out for week 15. He wasn't close to playing this weekend, so he may be looking at a multi-week absence.

Melvin Gordon, Running Back, San Diego Chargers (hip/knee) - Gordon had to be stretchered off the field during week 14's game with hip injury and did not return. He has been ruled out for week 15 after not practicing all week. He is at best week-to-week right now.

Vance McDonald, Tight End, San Francisco 49ers (scapula) - McDonald, fresh off signing a five year, $35 million dollar contract extension, was forced to exit week 14 with a scapula injury. He was placed on injured reserve earlier this week and is out for the rest of the season.

Jordan Reed, Tight End, Washington Redskins (shoulder) - Reed continues to deal with his serious shoulder injury but was able to play last week and should be able to play this weekend as well.
