Fantasy Football: How Late-Round QB Strategy Can Backfire

The common philosophy around fantasy football for years now has been to focus on picking up running backs early while waiting on quarterbacks. For the most part, this strategy has been spot on. But what happens when that philosophy backfires in a given season? Do you stray away from it moving forward or do you view it as a one-year exception to the rule? Interestingly enough, this philosophy didn't necessarily pay off for some last season. Let's take a look at how it backfired in 2013 and what it might mean in 2014.
