While the tight end position can always be a tough one to figure out in fantasy football if you don't have an elite option, it's not as difficult when the bye week doesn't eliminate some of the top options. In Week 7, we'll see Eric Ebron and Ryan Griffin out, not anyone fantasy owners will miss plugging into their lineups. Instead, Week 7 offers some great matchups for some of the NFL's best tight ends and some matchups to exploit for others.
So let's take a look at our tight end rankings for Week Seven.
| Rank: | Name: | Opponent: | Note: |
| 1. | Rob Gronkowski | v. ATL | While Atlanta allows ninth-fewest fantasy points per game to TEs, Gronk is a force they will be unable to cover and should have big role in shootout. |
| 2. | Zach Ertz | v. WAS | Washington allows fourth-most fantasy points per game to TEs. Ertz will be a go-to target for Carson Wentz and post great fantasy numbers. |
| 3. | Travis Kelce | @ OAK | Kelce's inconsistency makes him frustrating for owners who invested a high pick, but he should get back on track versus OAK's LB corps. |
| 4. | Delanie Walker | @ CLE | Marcus Mariota is back on the field and facing a defense that allows the second-most fantasy points per game to TEs, he will look to Walker frequently. |
| 5. | Hunter Henry | v. DEN | Henry's role in the offense is growing with seven-plus targets in the last two games. A red-zone target, Henry emerges as a top-five option in a quality matchup. |
| 6. | Austin Seferian-Jenkins | @ MIA | If the refs made the right call, ASJ would have three touchdowns in last two games. A favorite of Josh McCown, ASJ's TD upside makes him a top play. |
| 7. | Evan Engram | v. SEA | Engram is the focus of NYG's passing attack and his ability to exploit matchups all over the field, makes him a strong option over the remainder of the season. |
| 8. | Cameron Brate | @ BUF | Brate's matchup against a BUF defense allowing eighth-fewest fantasy PPG to TEs pushes him down slightly, but he remains a critical part of this offense. |
| 9. | Kyle Rudolph | v. BAL | Rudolph's role is growing with nine targets in each of the past two games. Week 7 provides a solid matchup and the targets make him a top-10 option this week. |
| 10. | Austin Hooper | @ NE | Hooper comes with risk, but New England surrendered two touchdowns to ASJ last week. If you want an upside play, Hooper is your guy. |
| 11. | Jordan Reed | @ PHI | A former fantasy difference maker, Reed now finds himself in a "spread the wealth" offense. His talent keeps him in the top-12 ranks. |
| 12. | George Kittle | v. DAL | Kittle should be heavily targeted on Sunday thanks to a strong relationship with his college QB C.J. Beathard. Great DFS play & deep-league option |
| 13. | Jimmy Graham | @ NYG | NYG are routinely torched by opposing TEs, but Graham's role in SEA's offense is unpredictable. A risky play that could post 16-plus points or two |
| 14. | Jason Witten | @ SF | Nine-plus targets in three of five games and one reception in his two other performances. SF allows the fewest fantasy PPG to opposing TEs, look elsewhere. |
| 15. | Zach Miller | v. CAR | With a touchdown in his past two games and a rookie quarterback now behind center, Miller is a gamble play for DFS owners and clings to the top-15 ranks. |
| 16. | Martellus Bennett | v. NO | Brett Hundley will have several passing options, but Bennett could be a nice security option when New Orleans brings frequent pressure. |
