Fantasy Football: Top Waiver Wire Adds for Week 4

Carson Wentz, Quarterback, Philadelphia Eagles

It's now not only reasonable to conclude Wentz should be a QB2 option in 12-team leagues, he's now a viable bye-week replacement or someone you can play matchups with. Through the first three games of his career, Wentz is completing 65 percent of his passes for 769 yards with five touchdowns and zero picks.

He's coming off a splendid Week 3 performance against the Pittsburgh Steelers that saw him complete 23-of-31 passes for 301 yards with two scores. That was good enough for him to rank sixth among quarterbacks in fantasy points. Now through three games, Wentz is the ninth-best fantasy quarterback in the game.

Dak Prescott, Quarterback, Dallas Cowboys

Much like his rookie counterpart in the NFC East, Prescott is putting on a show early in his career. He's coming off a Week 3 performance that saw him complete 19-of-24 passes for 248 yards with a touchdown and zero picks. Prescott also added 36 yards and a score on the ground in the win over the Chicago Bears. Now through three games, the Mississippi State product has yet to turn the ball over on 99 pass attempts.

Prescott currently ranks as the ninth-best fantasy quarterback despite having thrown just one touchdown pass in three games. He's also the seventh most-consistent fantasy performer at this position. Even with Tony Romo eyeing a return this season, you'd be a bit ridiculous not to consider Prescott over the short term.

Christine Michael, Running Back, Seattle Seahawks

With Thomas Rawls sitting due to a foot injury, Michael was able to strut his stuff against a weak San Francisco 49ers defense on Sunday. He responded by putting up 106 yards and two touchdowns on 20 attempts. That was good enough for the former draft bust to finish as the fourth-best fantasy running back on the day.

We have absolutely no idea how Rawls will perform when he returns, or when he's actually going to return. What we do know is that Michael has been electric this season. He's now averaging 5.2 yards per rush and ranks as the 15th-best fantasy running back heading into Week 4.

Jordan Howard, Running Back, Chicago Bears

Jeremy Langford suffered a potentially serious ankle injury against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night. It was so bad that he had to be carted off the field and was immediately ruled out for the remainder of the game. While we will likely hear reports later on Monday regarding the injury, don't wait to pick up this rookie from Indiana.

Howard was already taking touches from Langford before the latter went down to injury. Once Howard saw extensive action against Dallas, he performed at a high level. The rookie put up 92 yards on 14 touches, including a beautiful 36-yard run. Look for more consistent production out of him, especially if Langford, as expected, is out an extended period of time.

Shane Vereen, Running Back, New York Giants

Now that Rashad Jennings is injured, the Giants need to find someone to put up consistent touches in the backfield. In Vereen, that comes via both the run and the pass. This was evident during Sunday's loss to Washington. The former New England Patriot' back put up 95 total yards and a touchdown on 13 touches. That was good enough for him to finish Sunday ranked as the 14th-best fantasy running back.

Depending on the severity of Jennings' injury, we could very well see Vereen continue to play a huge role in the Giants' offense. Even if Jennings were to come back here soon, Vereen will still get his touches due to his plus-level receiving ability.

Terrelle Pryor Sr., Wide Receiver, Cleveland Browns

Because, why not? That's the question you seriously need to ask yourself here. It seems like this is coming out of left field, but Pryor is almost literally the Browns' offense right now. Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, he completed 3-of-5 passes for 35 yards while splitting reps with rookie Cody Kessler at quarterback. Pryor also added four rushes for 21 yards and a touchdown. In a vacuum, neither of these stat lines are fantasy relevant.

That's until we realize that Pryor also finished Sunday's Week 3 action as the third-best fantasy receiver. Yes, you read that right. He caught 8-of-14 passes for 144 yards in the overtime loss to Miami. Now, through three weeks, Pryor sees himself as the seventh-most targeted receiver in the NFL.

Quincy Enunwa, Wide Receiver, New York Jets

Enunwa entered Sunday's action having caught 13-of-14 passes thrown in his direction. Those numbers took a major hit after Ryan Fitzpatrick put up a horrendous six-interception performance against the Kansas City Chiefs. Overall, this second-year player caught just 4-of-11 targets for 37 yards.

Even then, it's all about the opportunities here. He's definitely finding a solid connection, at least when it comes to receiving targets, from Fitzpatrick. With Brandon Marshall still hobbled, that's somethin to keep an eye on.

Victor Cruz, Wide Receiver, New York Giants

Jamison Crowder, Wide Receiver, Washington Redskins

Cameron Brate, Tight End, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
