1. Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos (SD)
Sunday, the Buffalo Bills prevented Manning from throwing a single touchdown. While I doubt Rodgers will be shut out, I think he’ll struggle just enough to give Manning the top spot back this week. The Chargers are allowing the 13th most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks, per our fantasy against rankings (paid subscription required), (so an OK matchup) but I just don’t see Manning struggling for two games in a row.
Projected Statistics: 330 yards, five touchdowns, one interception
2. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers (BUF)

Rodgers has been the MVP of the entire league and is now tied with Manning for the second most fantasy points among quarterbacks (a mark he’ll likely pass Manning on after the Monday night game). Rodgers hasn’t had a game of fewer than 19 points since Week 5, and hasn’t thrown an interception in four games (could be five after Monday). Obviously, you’re using Manning or Rodgers no matter what, but because of the tough matchup against Buffalo, Rodgers gets a slight downgrade.
Projected Statistics: 380 yards, four touchdowns
3. Jay Cutler, Chicago Bears (NO)
This will be Cutler’s best fantasy day of the season. He’s actually tied for fourth in our consistency ratings, and has now scored a combined 40 points in his past two games. Losing Brandon Marshall hurts, but Alshon Jeffery, Matt Forte and Martellus Bennett will be more than enough to push Cutler over 20 points this week, especially a Saints defense that just gave up 35 points to Cam Newton, and is allowing the third most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.
Projected Statistics: 350 yards, three touchdowns
4. Andrew Luck, Indianapolis Colts (HOU)
Luck does get pushed down this week, but only because of the matchup. Indianapolis’s offensive line couldn’t even stop Barkevious Mingo Sunday, what will happen with J.J. Watt on the other side of the line? Luck has also been slightly more prone to turnovers as of late, throwing four interceptions in his past four games. He’ll still be fine, but won’t be good enough to be the No. 1 guy this week.
Projected Statistics: 340 yards, three touchdowns
5. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints (CHI)
There’s only two teams that allow more fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks than Brees’ Saints, and one of them is Chicago. The Bears are allowing the second most, behind only Washington, and while Brees and the Saints were crushed by Carolina at home Sunday, he has still thrown nine touchdowns in his past three games and has just two interceptions in that span.
Projected Statistics: 420 yards, three touchdowns, one interception
6. Tom Brady, New England Patriots (MIA)

Miami’s rush defense has actually been much worse as of late, so expect a lot of [insert Patriots running back here] this weekend. Still, in his past three games, Brady has scored 18, 17 and 19 fantasy points, respectively. He’s good for at least 16 in Foxborough this weekend, and should be used in all formats, although looking at the Dolphins defense on paper can be intimidating.
Projected Statistics: 300 yards, three touchdowns
7. Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks (SF)
The last time Wilson played the 49ers, he had a simply OK fantasy day but the Seahawks rolled over San Francisco. I expect Seattle to have similar success, and for Wilson to be a little more effective on the ground than he was two weeks ago. Wilson has rushed for at leasst 35 yards in each game since Week 9, and has three games with at least 70 in that span.
Projected Statistics: 190 yards, two touchdowns, eight carries, 70 rushing yards
8. Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers (ATL)
At this point, throwing against Atlanta’s defense is about as tough as throwing to Antonio Brown in practice for Big Ben. Le’Veon Bell has been so good on the ground that Roethlisberger isn’t quite top five status this week (plus the Martavis Bryant 90-yard touchdown can’t be counted on every week) but he’s certainly a top 10 option.
Projected Statistics: 320 yards, three touchdowns, one interception
9. Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers (TB)
Newton shook off the dust/rust he had on him against the Saints, scoring an easy 35 fantasy points Sunday. That won’t be the norm for Newton, but I’m trusting him more now after that outing, especially against a below-average Bucs defense. Tampa is allowing the 11th most points to opposing quarterbacks, but Newton has been wildly inconsistent, so he’s no lock for a huge game. However, the rushing upside is just too much to look past for me this week.
Projected Statistics: 280 yards, one touchdown, four carries, 30 rushing yards
10. Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions (MIN)
Stafford has only been our 16th most consistent quarterback this season, but with Calvin Johnson returning to form, Stafford has had 20-point games in back-to-back weeks. Minnesota’s defense has actually been a pretty tough defense against quarterbacks, but this is a must-win for the Lions if they want to stay competitive in the NFC playoff picture, and I see Johnson pulling in at least one big touchdown from Stafford.
Projected Statistics: 320 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, two carries 10 rushing yards
