Fantasy Football Week 2 Injury Report: Active and Inactive

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson will start Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams. While he did suffer an ankle injury last week, most anticipated that Wilson would be under center. That's now the case. Taking on a Rams defense that yielded 28 first downs to the San Francisco 49ers last week, Wilson is a top-end fantasy play.

Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart will be active against the San Francisco 49ers Sunday. He was limited in practice during the week with an ankle injury. Expectations need to be muted taking on a 49ers defense that shut Todd Gurley down in Week 1. Look for the Panthers to rely a great deal on Cam Newton

On the other hand, Jamaal Charles of the Kansas City Chiefs remains out while recovering from a torn ACL. Spencer Ware will likely be a solid fantasy play. Though, it's important to note that the Chiefs are taking on a much better Texans defense than the Chargers version he destroyed for 199 total yards last week. Also important to note, Kansas City split up running back reps with Spencer and Charcandrick West 50-50 last week.

With Rob Gronkowski still out of action, Martellus Bennett becomes an interesting redraft and DFS play against the Miami Dolphins.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas is expected to play against the Indianapolis Colts. He's going to test out the hip prior to this afternoon's game. If all good, Thomas becomes a great fantasy option against a Colts defense that was torn apart by Matthew Stafford and the Detroit Lions last week.

Arian Foster's status was never really in question for the Miami Dolphins this week. Though, he was limited during the week with a hamstring injury, missing Wednesday's practice. Foster will be good to go against New England and should be a solid under-the-radar fantasy option. Foster put up 100 total yards on 16 touches for the Dolphins last week.

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz is a no go for Monday's game against the Chicago Bears with a hip injury. He missed last week's game and is considered week-to-week. With Ertz out, the expectation has to be that Jordan Matthews will see a ton of targets. Also look for Ryan Mathews to continue seeing ample touches in the backfield.
