1. DeMarco Murray, Dallas Cowboys (NYG)
Murray has been nothing but a fantasy football stud this season, and his streak of remaining the top fantasy running back won’t stop in Week 7 when the Cowboys host the New York Giants. Whatever matchup Murray is facing really doesn’t matter as proven by his spectacular 100-plus yard performance against Seattle last week. The fact that Murray faces the Giants’ third-worst ranked defense against running backs is just more icing on the cake in Week 7 for Dallas’ amazing running back.
Projected Statistics: 140 rushing yards, 25 receiving yards, two touchdowns
2. Arian Foster, Houston Texans (PIT)
Foster has been as explosive as dynamite with back-to-back weeks far surpassing 100-plus rushing yards and scoring two touchdowns per outing. Week 7 brings Foster and the Texans to Pittsburgh, where Foster shouldn’t have any problem scoring against the Steelers who’ve allowed six rushing scores this season. Being the key playmaker in the Texans’ offense should have Foster remaining a top RB1 each week, as long as his health prevails.
Projected Statistics: 125 rushing yards, 15 receiving yards, one touchdown
3. Le’Veon Bell, Pittsburgh Steelers (HOU)
Bell, who always seems to register within the top 10 has a favorable meeting with the Houston Texans in Week 7. Currently the Texans are allowing opposing running backs an average of 22.08 fantasy points, and 114 rushing yards per game. Additionally, last week, both Indianapolis Colts' running backs each scored a touchdown against Houston, so Bell's chances of crossing the end zone are in his favor in Week 7.
Projected Statistics: 95 rushing yards, 30 receiving yards, one touchdown
4. Matt Forte, Chicago Bears (MIA)
Forte has been phenomenal over the past two weeks racking up a total of 323 rushing and receiving yards along with three touchdown scores. While the Miami Dolphins have been somewhat limiting towards opposing running backs, sporting the 12-best defense, Forte has just been too dynamic to stop. Once again in Week 7, owners of Forte should be rewarded with RB1 fantasy points from their multi-functional Chicago stud.
Projected Statistics: 70 rushing yards, 50 receiving yards, one touchdown
5. Giovani Bernard, Cincinnati Bengals (IND)
In Week 7 Bernard and the Bengals head to Indianapolis for a friendly matchup against a Colts’ defense who’ve allowed seven total rushing touchdowns, and a generous average of 25.5 fantasy points per week to their opposing running backs. We all saw Bernard in action last week as he was unstoppable in a fantastic 89-yard rushing touchdown, so with another favorable opponent in the Colts on the horizon, look for another RB1 performance from the second-year back.
Projected Statistics: 85 rushing yards, 20 receiving yards, one touchdown
6. Andre Ellington, Arizona Cardinals (OAK)
Ellington sees a favorable matchup in Week 7 as the Cardinals travel to faceoff with the Oakland Raiders. Last week the Raiders failed to stop San Diego Chargers’ rookie running back Branden Oliver, allowing him to top 100 yards and a score a touchdown. Therefore, expect Ellington to perform well against a Raiders’ defense who has allowed opposing running backs an average of 26.8 fantasy points to the position each week.
Projected Statistics: 75 rushing yards, 20 receiving yards, one touchdown
7. Jamaal Charles, Kansas City Chiefs (SD)
Charles and the Chiefs return well-rested in Week 7 and travel to play the San Diego Chargers. While San Diego has been somewhat stingy in allowing rushing yards, giving up an average of just 66 per game, they’re generous when it comes to receiving yards and touchdowns scored by opposing running backs. So far the Chargers’ have allowed four receiving touchdowns by running backs, for which Charles should find to his advantage.
Projected Statistics: 65 rushing yards, 25 receiving yards, one receiving touchdown
8. Marshawn Lynch, Seattle Seahawks (STL)
Week 7 has Lynch and the Seahawks traveling to St. Louis where they will try to redeem themselves after an embarrassing home loss to Dallas. Lynch who has six total rushing and receiving touchdowns will try to break through the Rams’ second-best defense, and look to add another touchdown to the one and only the Rams have allowed this season. If anyone has a shot at out-smarting the Rams’ brutal ground defense, Lynch does.
Projected Statistics: 50 rushing yards, 35 receiving yards, one touchdown
9. Justin Forsett, Baltimore Ravens (ATL)
Forsett and the Ravens host the Atlanta Falcons in Week 7 where we’ll be certain to watch him take advantage of Atlanta’s extremely porous ground defense. The Falcons are currently allowing nearly two touchdowns per game to opposing running backs, which projects Forsett as a top 10 fantasy options in Week 7. Sit back and let the fantasy points roll in as you confidently start Forsett in your Week 7 lineup. In fact, don’t be surprised if he surpasses this Week 7 projection.
Projected Statistics: 75 rushing yards, 10 receiving yards, one touchdown
10. Ben Tate, Cleveland Browns (JAC)
Tate, who had another awesome performance last week, should remain on course to reward his fantasy owners very generously again in Week 7 as the Browns travel to face the Jacksonville Jaguars. With the Jaguars currently giving up the second-most fantasy points to opposing running backs, averaging 36.2 per week, Tate should have plenty of opportunity to move the ball around and certainly make a trip to the end zone while he’s on a roll.
Projected Statistics: 80 receiving yards, five receiving yards, one touchdown
