Fantasy Football Week 9: Biggest Injuries from the Football World

Ryan Fitzpatrick, Quarterback, New York Jets

This struggling signal caller suffered a sprained MCL in his team's win loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. Though, Fitzpatrick was able to return to the field. Jets head coach Todd Bowles indicate on Monday that Fitzpatrick is day-to-day. With that said, we surely wouldn't be surprised if Bryce Petty gets the start over Fitzpatrick against the Los Angeles Rams.

Derrick Henry, Running Back, Tennessee Titans

While Henry was active Sunday against the San Diego Chargers, he didn't get on the field. This came after the rookie suffered a groin strain. He's now likely to be out multiple weeks with the injury, further cementing DeMarco Murray's status as the lead dog in the team's backfield moving forward.

Victor Cruz, Wide Receiver, New York Giants

In his first season back after missing 2.5 years, Cruz hasn't been the same player. Through eight games, he has caught 25 passes for 377 yards and just one score. Cruz exited Sunday's win over the Philadelphia Eagles with an ankle injury and did not return. The talented receiver is set to undergo X-rays on his ankle on Monday, but the injury isn't said to be too serious. It's likely a minor sprain. But that could keep Cruz out for a game or two.

Jeremy Maclin, Wide Receiver, Kansas City Chiefs

Maclin entered Sunday's game with the Jacksonville Jaguars dealing with a groin injury. And while he did suit up, the Chiefs' No. 1 receiver exited the game in the first quarter after aggravating the injury and didn't return. There now has to be a question regarding Maclin's availability next week. This is sure something to watch during the week.
