Sam Bradford, Quarterback, Minnesota Vikings
Even before Bradford takes to the field against the Chicago Bears on Monday, we have to think about the following week. With Carson Palmer, Tom Brady, Andy Dalton and Kirk Cousins on a bye in Week 9, some of you are going to be forced to go with a streaming option. Of course, this is dependent on you either having two of these quarterbacks or not possessing a decent QB2 option.
If that's the situation you're faced with, Bradford has a tremendous matchup against a Detroit Lions defense that's given up 19 touchdowns compared to four interceptions and the most fantasy points to quarterbacks on the season.
Charcandrick West, Running Back, Kansas City Chiefs
With Jamaal Charles now sidelined again and set to see the world renowned Dr. James Andrews, most figured Spencer Ware would continue to put up a stellar fantasy performance. Unfortunately, Ware went down with a concussion Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts and has to be considered highly questionable for next week's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Add in a player in West who put up 52 yards on 14 attempts on Sunday and will likely find himself starting against Jacksonville next week. Even if it's in the short term until Ware comes back, West is definitely worthy of a waiver claim.
Tim Hightower, Running Back, New Orleans Saints
Does Hightower ever go away? Playing in the NFL for the first time in over three years last season, this veteran proved himself as more than a capable force in the Saints' backfield. He put up over 500 total yards and four scores while averaging 4.3 yards per touch.
In his first extended action of the 2016 season Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, Hightower put up 102 yards on 26 attempts. It came against one of the best run defenses in the NFL. It also came in the same game that saw Mark Ingram benched after an early fumble. Now that it looks like the Saints are going with a committee approach, Hightower is definitely worthy of a roster spot.
Jamison Crowder, Wide Receiver, Washington Redskins
We've had Crowder on this list a couple different times. Still he's owned in less than 25 percent of 12-team leagues out there. That's a fascinating fact to look at considering Crowder has put up 16 receptions for 221 yards and a score over the past two games. He's coming off a 9-107-1 split against the Cincinnati Bengals in London on Sunday.
Now fully entrenched in as Kirk Cousins' second-favorite target behind Jordan Reed, there's no reason to believe Crowder won't continue this performance. That's only magnified by continual injury issues to DeSean Jackson.
Davante Adams, Wide Receiver, Green Bay Packers
Adams is seeing a whole heck of a lot of action. With Randall Cobb and Ty Montgomery sidelined to injury on Sunday, this third-year receiver caught 12-of-14 targets. While he put up just 74 yards on those 12 catches, Adams has now caught 25-of-30 targets for over 200 yards and two scores in the past two games.
Remember, his previous performance came with both Cobb and Montgomery in the fold. This is an indication that Adams is fully clicking with Aaron Rodgers, which should be huge for his fantasy production moving forward.
Cameron Brate, Tight End, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Now a top-end TE2 option on the season, Brate could provide you with some solid depth or a potential bye-week replacement moving forward on the season. He's coming off a touchdown against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday and has proven himself reliable when the Buccaneers resort to a pass-based offense.
Set to take on an Atlanta Falcons team that's yielded the sixth-most fantasy points to tight ends on the season, Brate becomes a solid streaming option as a bye-week replacement for the likes of Rob Gronkowski, Jordan Reed and Tyler Eifert.
