Wide Receivers
START
Denarius Moore, OAK vs JAC
Moore is one of the better deep threats in the league and starting to show it. Moore has posted three solid games and is coming off of a 100+ yards and a touchdown game versus Asante Samuel and the Falcons pass defense who have given up team versus wide receivers. Look for more to have another good game versus Jacksonville who has given up 13th most to opposing Wide Receivers.
Kenny Britt, TEN vs BUF
Britt should have his break out game owners have been waiting for. The Bills have given up the fifth most points to receivers this year. Britt is a solid WR2 with upside this week.
Hakeem Nicks, NYG vs WAS
Nicks hasn’t been active or 100% in a while. This seems to be the week where he has “turned the corner”with his health. This week he matches up against Washington’s defense who gives the most points to opposing wide receivers. Look for Nicks to regain his WR1 Status this week. Nicks is a must start.
SIT
Steve Smith, CAR vs DAL
Smith has had a slow start this season, scoring the 49th most points of receivers (Has had a bye--Averaging 41st highest.) This week shouldn’t be his break out week versus a Dallas defense who allows the least amount of points to receivers so far this year. Though throughout Smith’s career he has been against all odds, I wouldn’t risk it this week if you have another player worth a start. Smith is a rock bottom WR2.
Brandon Lloyd, NE vs NYJ
When Lloyd was reunited with McDaniel’s and Brady as their quarterback, Lloyd became one of the best value pick sleepers of the draft. Lloyd is currently averaging one tenth of a point more than Smith and disappointing owners in the process. This week Lloyd is matched up with Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie who has been doing a great job filling in for injured All-Pro corner Darrell Revis. Cromartie island isn’t quite as a bad of a nightmare of Revis island but still avoidable to struggling receiver. Lloyd should be on your bench this week.
