After he sustained a groin injury during practice this week that brought his availability for Week 10 into question, Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton received clearance to play today against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Indianapolis added Hilton's name to the injury report on Thursday after he sustained the injury in practice. Injuries suffered during the week, especially ones that can easily be aggravated, are ones we need to monitor for a player's status. Now that Hilton is expected to suit up, we can look at his fantasy matchup.
Fresh off a 175-yard game last week against the Houston Texans, there is plenty of momentum and hype around Hilton again. Unfortunately, his matchup against Pittsburgh is far from ideal. Not only can they get pressure on Jacoby Brissett and take away time for him to throw deep, but Pittsburgh boasts one of the best secondaries in the NFL.
Given Hilton's 2017 season could be easily described as inconsistent, with three 150-plus yard games and five games below 50 receiving yards, this feels like the game where he is limited statistically. As a result, Hilton is a mid-range WR2 this week with extreme fantasy volatility.
