Fantasy Impact: Jordan Reed Ruled Out for Week 10

For the second straight week, Washington will be without the services of tight end Jordan Reed. The oft-injured tight end is now dealing with a hamstring strain, but is nearing a return within the next few weeks.

Reed returned to practice this week and practiced in a limited fashion on Wednesday and Thursday. But after a missed practice on Friday, Reed's status became all but a guarantee and the team quickly ruled him out on Sunday morning.

With Reed out of the picture in Week 10, Vernon Davis will make a second straight start. In his start last week, Davis turned in an excellent reception with six receptions for 72 receiving yards. Better yet, Davis became a frequent target of Kirk Cousins with nine targets on the day.

Davis makes for an excellent DFS play and season-long play this week. On sites like DraftKings where they use PPR scoring setting, Davis seems a safe bet for 10-plus DK points. In season-long leagues, Davis is worth an immediate add and play if he is available. The volume of targets plus the chance for red-zone targets makes him an easy top-10 play today.
