Fantasy Impact of C.J. Anderson's Injury

Denver Broncos running back C.J. Anderson suffered what appeared to be a minor knee injury in Monday's win over the Houston Texans. Unfortunately, analysis of the knee injury in the days following the game have shown that Anderson could in fact miss substantial time. One report from NFL Media's Ian Rapoport indicates that Anderson could in fact miss the remainder of the season.

Best-case scenario here seems to suggest that Anderson will miss a couple weeks with a bone bruise in the knee. Even if it's as minimal as that, make sure to do your best to add rookie running back Devontae Booker, who has been seeing substantially more action recently.

Booker put up career highs in rush attempts (17) and rushing yards (83) while scoring a touchdown in Monday's win over the Houston Texans. It had previously been reported that the Broncos wanted to get the first-year player move involved in their offense.

With Anderson sidelined for the foreseeable future, Denver has no real choice here. And considering its offense has been run first, this means Booker should see 20-plus rush attempts until Anderson returns.

Booker is averaging 4.8 yards on 58 rush attempts thus far on the season.
