If you decided to stream players from the Jacksonville Jaguars-Tennessee Titans game only, you likely did very well in DFS contests on Sunday.
A total of 81 points, 850 yards and 46 first downs were put up in the narrow 42-39 Titans victory. Heck, there were six combined touchdowns in the fourth quarter.
More than simply putting the final nail in the coffin of Jacksonville's playoff hopes, this game featured some outlandish fantasy performances.
Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota tallied 380 total yards and four touchdowns, including an 87-yard trek to the end zone in the fourth quarter.
Mariota hooked up with rookie receiver Dorial Green-Beckham to the tune of five receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile, one of the top fantasy tight ends in the game, Delanie Walker, added eight receptions for 92 yards and a score in the win.
Heading into the late afternoon slate of action, Mariota finds himself as the top fantasy quarterback. Green-Beckham is sixth among wide receivers. And the surprise that is Delanie Walker find himself second among tight ends.
On the losing side of the ledger, Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles completed 24-of-36 passes for 322 yards with a career-high five touchdowns and zero interceptions.
Rookie running back T.J. Yeldon accounted for 136 total yards and a score on 19 touches, good enough to find himself as the second-best fantasy running back after the early slate of games.
However, it was second-year receiver Allen Robinson who put up the most ridiculous performance to date. The Jags pass catcher compileed 10 receptions for 153 yards and three touchdowns on 15 targets. That led to him putting up an absurd 38.30 points in FanDuel contests.
Sometimes the worst games with the worst teams provide the most brilliant action. That's exactly what we saw on Sunday in Nashville.
