1. Tyrod Taylor, Buffalo Bills
Stats: 74.4 completion percentage, 714 passing yards, 96 rushing yards, eight touchdowns, three interceptions (66.16 fantasy points)
In his first season as a starting quarterback in the NFL, Taylor hasn't finished any worst than 14th among fantasy signal callers in each of the first three weeks. Despite throwing three interceptions in a Week 2 loss to the New England Patriots, Taylor was still able to finish as the sixth-best fantasy quarterback. He followed that up by completing 21-of-29 passes for 277 yards with three touchdowns against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. That was good enough for him to finish fourh among fantasy quarterbacks in points.
It doesn't look like Taylor is going to regress from a fantasy standpoint moving forward. Bills offensive coordinator Greg Roman seems to have taken the handcuffs off the quarterback and is letting him air it out. With a ton of top-end skill-position players in Buffalo, Taylor is primed to continue surprising this year.
2. Andy Dalton, Cincinnati Bengals
Stats: 66.3 completion percentage, 866 passing yards, eight touchdowns, one interception (70.74 fantasy points)
After finishing last season as the 18th-best fantasy quarterback, Dalton entered the 2015 season with muted expectations. After all, he was coming off a campaign that saw him throw just two more touchdowns (19) than interceptions (17).
All that has changed in the first three weeks of the 2015 season. Dalton is averaging over 23 fantasy points per game and has yet to finish below a No. 11 weekly ranking thus far this year. Coming off the best fantasy performance of his career (393 total yards, four touchdowns), Dalton now faces a stiff test over the next three weeks against the Kansas City Chiefs, Seattle Seahawks and Buffalo Bills.
3. Carson Palmer, Arizona Cardinals
Stats: 63.6 completion percentage, 803 passing yards, nine touchdowns, two interceptions (65.42 fantasy points)
Palmer is clearly playing the best football of his career. He's currently on pace to throw for 4,300 yards and 48 touchdowns. Comfortable as it gets in Arizona's offense, Palmer absolutely dominated a weak San Francisco 49ers defense to the tune of 311 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday.
This performance has put Palmer among the most consisently good fantasy quarterbacks in the NFL. Remember, he was in the top 10 prior to tearing his ACL last November.
4. Marcus Mariota, Tennessee Titans
Stats: 62.9 completion percentage, 833 passing yards, eight touchdowns, two interceptions (59.82 fantasy points)
Despite throwing his first two regular season interceptions last week, Mariota still found a way to finish among the top-13 fantasy quarterbacks. It's nothing to write home about, but considering this was by far his worst performance of the sason, it's telling.
Through three weeks, the reigning Heisman winner is the seventh-best fantasy quarterback. Considering he was barely draftable in standard 12-team leagues, Mariota's performance might be among the biggest surprises in the fantasy football world.
5. Derek Carr, Oakland Raiders
Stats: 63.3 completion percentage, 726 passing yards, five touchdowns, one interception (50.04 fantasy points)
After a disastrous Week 1 performance that saw him exit in the second quarter following a hand injury, few expected to see Carr among the top-12 fantasy quarterbacks heading into Week 4.
Over the course of the past two games, Carr is completing over 63 percent of his passes for 665 yards with five touchdowns and one interception. That has made him the sixth-best fantasy quarterback during this span.
