This could potentially have some wide-ranging ramifications on the world of fake football. Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy will be placed on a pitch count during training camp and the preseason as the team looks to keep him healthy following an injury-plagued first year in Western New York.
McCoy hasn't participated in much of the team's off-season program, a clear indication that he's nowhere near 100 percent. Some of this was attributed to what was called hamstring tightness, but Bills running backs coach Anthony Lynn indicated that it was more by design.
Either way, we fully expect Buffalo to be cautious with McCoy this upcoming season. That's magnified by the presence of Karlos Williams on the roster, who could potentially take up more goal-line and short-yardage carries during the year.
McCoy finished last season with nearly 1,200 total yards and five touchdowns en route to finishing as the 16th-best fantasy running back. McCoy's current ADP has him as the 12th running back off the board in the middle of the second round of 12-team leagues. That's a bit too high for our taste right now.
