The Philadelphia Eagles announced on Friday that they have waived young wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham after he failed to show much of substance in his only season with the team.
A former second-round pick of the Tennessee Titans, Green-Beckham was traded to Philadelphia after his rookie season this past August. He responded by putting up 36 receptions for 392 yards and two touchdowns while catching less than half of the 74 passes thrown in his direction.
A part-time starter in Philly, Green-Beckham's absence should help former first-round pick Nelson Agholor regain a top-three receiver role behind free agent additions Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smth this upcoming season.
As it relates to Green-Beckham, he's now on waivers with the Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers having the first two shots at his services.
