While most experts expect Leonard Fournette to be a dominating fantasy figure as a rookie for the Jacksonville Jaguars, at least one prominent team insider is differing a little here.
Mike Kaye of a local NBC affiliate in Jacksonville expects Fournette to split carries early in the season with second-year running back T.J. Yeldon. He also believes Chris Ivory will act as the team's short-yardage back.
"Fournette was the fourth overall pick in April and has looked the part so far in training camp. He is expected to eventually be the workhorse back, but will likely split carries with Yeldon and Ivory early on," Kaye notes. "Ivory will probably be the short-yardage back to start the season."
None of this is good news for Fournette fantasy owners. If he's not set to see 20-plus touches, his fantasy impact will be limited. Add in the fact that Ivory will likely see goal-line duties, and that's magnified even further.
Fournette's curent ADP has him as the 10th running back off the board and as a late second-round pick in standard 12-team leagues. Buyers should beware here.
