The Indianapolis Colts have added a veteran pass-catching option for quarterback Andrew Luck. On Tuesday, the team signed former Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Kamar Aiken.
Aiken, 27, recorded just 29 receptions for 328 yards and a touchdown last season for Baltimore. That came on the heels of a 2015 campaign that saw him put up a tremendous 75-944-5 split in Baltimore.
Those 944 yards represented a higher number than Aiken's other four NFL seasons combined, so they seem to be more of an outlier than anything else.
Though, the veterans presence in Indianapolis could have a direct correlation on what we see from Colts receivers not named T.Y. Hilton. Last season saw Phillip Dorsett and Donte Moncrief combine for just 63 receptions. Depending on how camp plays out, one could take a back seat to Aiken on the depth chart.
