Fantasy Slant: Raiders Without CB David Amerson and Gareon Conley in Week 8

As the Oakland Raiders make final preparations before their matchup on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, they'll now be making game plans without three of their top defensive backs. Cornerbacks David Amerson and Gareon Conley were ruled out on Friday, joining safety Karl Joseph on the inactive list.

With three of Oakland's defensive backs sidelined, our eyes turn towards Tyrod Taylor for the second week in a row. We know about Taylor's rushing ability and he displayed it last week with 53 yards, an excellent five-point boost for fantasy owners. That ability alone makes you think about Taylor as a fantasy play and especially puts him on the target radar when matchups are great.

Greater attention is given to Taylor this week just because of Buffalo's ability to run the football and how that will further open up the deep ball. One of Taylor's trademarks is his deep ball and he should see several opportunities to throw it down the field in Week 8. None of Buffalo's receivers are especially appealing from a fantasy perspective, given the distribution of targets is uneven, but Taylor is a great DFS play this week with Oakland's secondary depleted.
