The franchise and transition tag deadline passed on Wednesday without the Cleveland Browns placing either tag on quarterback-turned-receiver Terrelle Pryor.
This means that the 2016 breakout star will hit free agency next week unless the two sides come to terms on a long-term extension before then.
Pryor, 27, put up 77 receptions for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns this past season. It was his first full-time duty as a wide receiver after making the switch from quarterback a couple years back.
Pryor will draw a ton of interest on the free-agent market with wide receiver needy teams such as the San Francisco 49ers, Tennessee Titans and Philadelphia Eagles already expressing interest in top-level free agent receivers.
Depending on where Pryor lands in free agency, he will surely be a WR1 option this upcoming season. From a fantasy perspective, his best bet is to move on to another team with a more stable quarterback situation. That's where the Titans with Marcus Mariota and Eagles with Carson Wentz come into play.
Free agency around the NFL starts next week.
