After struggling out of the gate, many began to wonder if Andrew Luck was playing through an injury. Two weeks ago he appeared on the injury report and his status to play grew more grim, until he was eventually ruled out. The Indianapolis Colts kept him out on the short Sunday to Thursday Night Football turnaround but now with 10 days since, Luck looks good to play on Sunday.
Reports this week have been much more positive, with teammates like Dwayne Allen raving about how Luck looked in practice and Colts' owner Jim Irsay providing positive reports on Luck's status for Week 6. Now head coach Chuck Pagano has added on to the certainty.
Luck's return could not come at a better time. The New England Patriots are coming to town and if Indianapolis wants any chance to compete in this game, Luck has to play. If his shoulder has healed, we should see a much better quarterback than what we saw to begin the season.
If you have Luck in season-long leagues, you have to play him. New England has been stout versus the pass this year, but two of their four games have come against the Jacksonville Jaguars and Brandon Weeden-led Dallas Cowboys. They will also face some challenges from T.Y. Hilton and Donte Moncrief. If Luck is confirmed as a go for Sunday Night Football, he should be a top-seven quarterback this week.
