Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore Remains on a Pitch Count

Even after putting up nearly 100 yards per game over the course of his past four outings, Indianapolis Colts running back Frank Gore remains a tricky fantasy option. Not only did Indianapolis sign Ahmad Bradshaw prior to last week's game, it has had Gore on a pitch count over the course of the first six games. The veteran running back has averaged 15 attempts per game this year.

Unfortunately for those relying on Gore for more production moving forward, head coach Chuck Pagano indicated on Friday that the 32-year-old running back remains on a pitch count.

"We had a number that we targeted at training camp," Pagano said. "We said by the end of the year, this is the number that we would like to get…I think we got to stay close to that (number)."

Due to Gore's performance in limited reps this season, he remains a viable RB2 option in year-long leagues. Entering Week 7, he's the 16th-best fantasy running back. And over the past four weeks, Gore ranks eighth in that category.

Though, his upside will continue to be limited due to this pitch count.

Gore has put up 403 rushing yards and three scores while averaging 4.5 yards per rush in his first season with Indy.
