As the Jacksonville Jaguars prepare for the final stretch of the season and battle for a playoff spot, it's a near certainty they will be without running back T.J. Yeldon against the Atlanta Falcons. Yeldon, who suffered a sprained MCL last week against the Indianapolis Colts, hasn't practiced all week and was listed as doubtful on the team's injury report released on Friday.
The Jaguars have been vague about Yeldon's injury and still don't want to rule him out for Week 15, but it's almost guaranteed Yeldon doesn't play. With Yeldon projected to be inactive, Denard Robinson will start in his place with an excellent match up on deck.
Over the last four weeks, the Falcons' defense has allowed 520 rushing yards, 146 receiving yards and seven total touchdowns. When Yeldon went down last week, Robinson rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. He has been effective all season carrying the football, averaging 4.7 yards per carry this season on 42 carries.
Robinson is the ideal value play running back in daily fantasy football, offering upside and security for a low price. In season-long leagues, Robinson was a must-add this week and should deliver in a big way for fantasy owners in the playoffs without Yeldon or Jonathan Stewart, "Shoelace" Robinson offers RB1 upside this week.
