After being eliminated from playoff contention, the Jacksonville Jaguars have decided to play it smart and end the season of rookie running back T.J. Yeldon. Yeldon, who has missed the past two games with a sprained MCL, will end his rookie season with plenty of positive signs but also room for improvement.
In 12 games, Yeldon finishes with 740 rushing yards (4.1 yards per carry) and 279 receiving yards on 218 total touches, but only found the end zone three times this season. Yeldon's lack of touchdowns can be contributed to Jacksonville's running back usage and using more of Toby Gerhart and having Blake Bortles just take it in himself.
Yeldon showed more than enough this season to have fantasy owners in dynasty leagues excited, showing off top-15 potential. If Jacksonville can continue to improve their offensive line and the defense improves, keeping scores closer so Jacksonville doesn't have to abandon the running game, Yeldon should be a 1,000-yard back next season.
Denard Robinson will start in place of Yeldon, taking on a Houston Texans defense that has allowed just 343 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown to running backs over the past four games. Robinson holds more value on DraftKings because it's PPR, but he is a low-end RB2 this week
