It surely does appear that Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant will be a no go for Sunday's important NFC East matchup with the New York Giants.
Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett told reporters that Bryant will not practice on Wednesday — an indication that he will not be ready for live-game action come this weekend. Remember, Garrett had publicly said that Bryant would have to get in practice in order to suit up.
With only a couple more practice days until the game, it's unreasonable to expect Bryant to be out there with the rest of his team as it looks to snap a three-game losing streak with Matt Cassel under center.
Even being a limited participant in a mid-week practice would have given us some hope here.
With Bryant out since injuring his foot in Week 1, Terrance Williams has led the Cowboys in snaps at the wide receiver position. He's followed by Cole Beasley and Devin Street on the snap hierarchy. None of these receivers are decent fantasy plays with Cassel under center.
