Jay Cutler Leaves Game with Hamstring Injury

After throwing an interception against the Arizona Cardinals in the first half of Sunday's game, Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler suffered what looked like a pretty serious injury attempting to make a tackle following the interception. On a micro level, Arizona returned that interception for a touchdown. On a broader level, Cutler was seen heading to the locker room with an unspecified injury.

Following halftime, the Bears announced that Cutler was out for the remainder of the game with a hamstring injury:

There are no further updates regarding Cutler's injury. He will likely be re-evaluated after the game, at which point a determination will be made regarding the quarterback's status heading into Week 3.

Jimmy Clausen took over for Cutler under center.

From a fantasy perspective, this is something to keep an eye on. Cutler had been relied on as a bottom-end QB1 or top end QB2 in previous seasons. His ADP suggested a similar value heading into the 2015 campaign, especially for those who value quarterbacks at a lower clip than the mainstream.

Hamstring injuries can be nagging, so it will be interesting to see what Cutler's initial status is for next week's game when the Bears address his injury early Monday.
