We already know that Ben Roethlisberger will be in street clothes for the Pittsburgh Steelers matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs. Though, theres another pretty big injury to take into account in that game. Chiefs wide receiver Jeremy Maclin is out after suffering a concussion against the Minnesota Vikings last week.
Albert Wilson takes over as Alex Smith's top receiver against a Pittsburgh Steelers defense that ranks in the bottom 10 of the NFL against fantasy receivers.
New England Patriots running back Dion Lewis is also inactive. He was questionable heading into last week's game with an abdomen injury — something that worsened to the point where he's inactive against the New York Jets. Some will conclude that LeGarrette Blount is a solid under-the-radar options.
Unfortunately, that's until we take into account a Jets defense that ranks second in the NFL against the run and has yielded the fewest fantasy points to running backs this season.
Interestingly, Tre Mason is inactive against the Cleveland Browns. This means that Todd Gurley will continue to get the bulk of the carries for the St. Louis Rams. Considering he's put up 320 yards over the past two games and is going up against a Browns defense that has yielded the fourth-most fantasy points to running backs, Gurley is a top-end RB1 option this week.
