Johnny Maiziel Pulled Over on Monday, No Charges Filed

While we may be used to receiving news about NFL players moments after it happens, it wasn't until now that we learned Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel was pulled over on Monday. Early reports focused on Manziel having drank and a domestic incident with his girlfriend but there seems to be more to the story.

On Monday, Manziel and his girlfriend were driving on Interstate 90. According to a police report, the couple got into an argument and at one point, Manziel's girlfriend, Colleen Elizabeth Crowley, tried to exit the vehicle and was pulled back into the car by Manziel, leaving marks on her arms.

Police were called and arrived to the vehicle, where the couple cooperated with the officer.  Manziel told officers what happened and Crowley told police she was not hurt. Officers on scene believe Manziel had drinks hours earlier.

Manziel and Crowley both released public statements saying it was just an argument in public and everything was ok. The Cleveland Browns released a statement saying they were aware of the incident and will have no further comment.

Manziel spent 10 weeks in rehab this past offseason and has had some problems in the past. He remains the Browns' backup quarterback and with Josh McCown's play, he will remain in that position.

Here is the official police report.
