Johnny Manziel Expected to be out in Cleveland After Hue Jackson's Hiring

Common sense seemed to indicate that Johnny Manziel's short two-year tenure with the Cleveland Browns would end this offseason after what was a drama-filled sophomore campaign that culminated in suggestions that he was partying in Vegas during the team's season finale.

This assumption has now taken on a whole new meaning now that the Browns have named Hue Jackson as their next head coach.

Most coaches want their own guy at quarterback. Add in the fact that Jackson will possess some player personnel control and the Browns will have the second pick in this year's draft, and this is magnified even further.

NFL Media's Ian Repoport is now reporting that Manziel's time in Cleveland will definitely come to an end. His report came immediately after Jackson was hired by the Browns:

From a fantasy perspective, there isn't a whole bunch to look at here. Whether Josh McCown remains in the mix at quarterback is the one thing to look at. Outside of that, the primary takeaway from Wednesday is just how much of a turn the Browns offense will take under Jackson.

We saw the Bengals offense improve a great deal with him as the coordinator over the past few years, taking on a whole new meaning this year. Andy Dalton and Tyler Eifert both had career campaigns in what was a passer friendly offense.

Outside of Manziel's departure from Cleveland, maybe take into account Gary Barnidge's potential ascension among fantasy tight ends. Jackson's offense has represented a boon for that position.
