Josh Doctson Running Drills in Return from Achilles Injury

While news is at a trickle right now in the NFL, Washington's coaching staff and Washington fans should be excited after recent videos posted by wide receiver Josh Doctson. In the Snapchat videos, Doctson is seen going through ladder drills and doing light running, a positive step after he missed much of the 2016 season with an Achilles injury.

The 24-year-old seemed to progress slowly from an Achilles injury that kept him out from Week 3-on and Washington coach Jay Gruden didn't seem optimistic in late January when he told reporters that Doctson hadn't really made much progress. At the time, Doctson had yet to be cleared to run again and a positive outlook for 2017 looked a little more bleak.

Now with the video of a healthier, moving Doctson, the arrow can cautiously slide upwards for his fantasy stock next season. After he finished his rookie season with two catches for 66 yards, a 57-yarder was his first catch in the NFL, Doctson heads into the 2017 offseason in a great spot on the depth chart. If Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson depart in free agency, which is expected, Doctson will slide into a significant role in 2017 and makes for a great fantasy sleeper.
