Justin Forsett Placed on Injured Reserve with a Broken Arm

It has been a lost season for the Baltimore Ravens, having seen their high hopes dashed with multiple season-ending injuries on almost a weekly basis. One of the more disappointing teams in the NFL this season was already banged up before last Sunday's game, then lost running back Justin Forsett to a broken arm. The season-ending injury has now led to the Ravens placing Forsett on injured reserve.

Forsett's injury was followed a few quarters later by Joe Flacco tearing his ACL and MCL, ending his season. The loss of Flacco not only drove the proverbial fork deeper into the Ravens' casket for the 2015 season, but it's also an even bigger blow for the fantasy football world.

When Forsett went down, it opened up the door for Javorius Allen to take the reigns of the starting gig and allow the 24-year0old to show the coaching staff some of what he has to offer. On Sunday, before Flacco was hurt, Allen rushed for 67 yards on 22 carries and paired it with 48 receiving yards on five receptions.

Allen showed he can serve multiple roles, carrying the football and working as a pass catcher. That gave him potential RB2 upside, but then Flacco was lost for the season. Now the Ravens must turn to Matt Schaub for the remainder of the season, who serves as no threat to opposing defenses. Teams can focus on stopping the run and not pay any respect to Schaub.

Because of the quarterback situation and the offense already having been inconsistent this season, Allen is now looking more like an RB3 this season.
