Seattle Seahawks strong safety Kam Chancellor has yet to report to camp. And with just a few days remaining until the start of the regular season, head coach Pete Carroll made it clear that even if Chancellor were to report this week, he wouldn't be on the field Sunday against the St. Louis Rams.
Carroll added his disappointment regarding Chancellor's holdout, and indicated that the team is more than prepared to head into the regular season with Dion Bailey at strong safety.
For Chancellor's part, reports close to him have indicated that he would have no issue holding out the entire season. Though, that might be impacted when he actually starts to miss game checks. For every game Chancellor sits out this year, he will be missing out on nearly $472,000.
The Pro Bowler is currently in the third year of a four-year, $28 million extension he signed back in 2013.
