After talk that he might retire prior to the start of the 2017 NFL season, Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald has confirmed that he will return to the team for another season.
Fitzgerald, 33, is coming off a 2016 season that saw him post an NFL-best 107 receptions for 1,023 yards with six touchdowns. That was good enough for Fitz to finish as the 13th-best fantasy receiver.
It's the eighth time in 10 seasons that the future Hall of Famer finished as a top-20 fantasy option. Fitzgerald's tremendous track record is surely a boon for those who somehow have been relying on the veteran in the dynasty football world.
Though, there are surely some issues here. He averaged less than 10 yards per reception for the Cardinals this past season and has put up one double-digit touchdown season over the past seven years. Needless to say, it looks like Fitzgerald's days as a top-end fantasy receiver have passed him by.
