Last Minute FanDuel Tip, Week 1: Avoid St. Louis Rams and Dallas Cowboys Running Backs

This one might go without saying, but it's more magnified in Week 1. We do know that the Cowboys plan on giving Darren McFadden and Joseph Randle touches on Sunday night. We just have no idea how that share is going to go. A report this week indicated that Dallas was prepared to start McFadden without putting the free-agent signing on a pitch count. Other reports have refuted that. During the preseason, Randle seemed to be a sure bet to start Week 1. That's obviously now up in the air.

"We haven't got a chance to go out there and see how it works yet," McFadden said on Thursday. "Right now, we've just been working back and forth, rotating in practice."

Randle pretty much mirrored those sentiments. With Randle at $6,900 and McFadden coming in at $6,600 in FanDuel leagues, neither should be considered anywhere near a safe play. Instead, someone like Doug Martin ($6,900) seems to be a much better bet.

The situation isn't much better in St. Louis. We do know that Todd Gurley isn't going to play. Tre Mason didn't practice all week and is considered doubtful. Though, he seems to be leaning more towards the doubtful side.

Desperate is a good term to use there. Cunningham might only be at $5,100, but he's going up against a Seattle Seahawks defense that was among the best in the NFL against fantasy running backs last season. This would be more of a wasted $5K.
